The Happy Booker--Becoming a "Master Booker"
Have you booked your Perfect 10? If not, that is the assignment for today--to continue filling your datebook until you have 10 classes on your books. When you have that many on your books, you aren't crushed if one postpones. (And they never CANCEL, they only POSTPONE, right? We always attempt to reschedule on the spot when a hostess calls to cancel.) if you have scheduled your 10, then don't stop now...go for 20!
Booking is the most important part of our business. Learn to master the art.
Here's a suggestion: (Try this only when booking your first 10) Call your prospective Hostess and tell her you'll make it worth her while to hostess a class! Offer her one item at half price for each PURCHASING guest she has at her class. The holidays are coming. Just think! She could purchase 5 to 8 sets at half price (or more if she holds a trunk show!) And she is introducing you to all those new, interested, purchasing guests and you are moving lots of product too!!

Use the Book to Look idea to increase your bookings. This is a tried and true technique. When three or more hostesses book, the hostess gets her brush set free! Try to find a reason why EVERY guest needs to book a class. The Hostess receives this after her classes have held. She has the power to encourage friends and family to book.
Remember that everyone listens to the same radio station--WIIFM...What's In It For Me? She wants to know what she gets if she holds a class. What's in it for her? I like to offer the $99 for $33 hostess plan.
BOOKING is the MOST IMPORTANT skill to develop in Mary Kay. At each class we have the opportunity to sell, rebook and recruit....when you are out of bookings you are out of business.
What about facials? These should be fillers to round out your week. To convince yourself you really can do this, read the booking affirmation with conviction and gusto. NOW GO AND BOOK! You Can do it! Believe and Achieve....I know you can!
You may not get all of your 10 bookings in one day (although I've always found that when I sit down to book, I often get on a roll and have 10 bookings before I know it). If you submit this form and move on to the next assignment, you may add points for bookings in the bonus points of future assignments. When you have your 10 booked, you may add your 500 points as bonus points on the current day you're working on.
